Contributing to Society through Forward-Thinking Research and Proposals
General Manager : Yukio OkuboWorks Institute was founded in 1999 as one of Japan's few corporate-based institutions specifically dedicated to the research of employment and labor issues. It is unique in the three approaches it consistently adopts when considering those issues: corporate management; individual values and working styles; and social systems.
For over 40 years, the Recruit Group has been accumulating a wide range of assets that provide the background for these approaches and make them possible. In the field of corporate management, the Group has built a strong network with many corporations through our support services for the hiring and utilization of personnel. With respect to individual values and working styles, we have amassed an impressive store of information through ongoing, periodic observations. Also, through the Group's various works in society at large, the institute's researchers have acquired a deep knowledge of social systems.
We emphasize collaboration with researchers in Japan and abroad, as well as among corporations and other institutions. The institute's researchers act as producers and coordinators by setting up research projects and guiding the research activities of the personnel involved. This makes it possible to conduct projects that are both flexible and responsive.
We are proud that the research and proposals generated through the use of the Recruit Group's assets, as well as the speed of our methodology, have earned widespread praise. In the future, we will continue to go beyond the mere analysis of current conditions and will contribute to the well being of society by identifying and addressing future-oriented issues that are just beginning to emerge.
